GetVideoNow (“the Service”) is a creator tool — software designed to help content creators retrieve, back up, and repurpose their own published social media content. By accessing or using GetVideoNow you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What This Tool Is For

GetVideoNow exists to solve a real creator problem: social media platforms make it difficult to retrieve your own high-quality assets after publishing. This tool is built so you can:

• Download your own Instagram Reels, Stories, and posts for backup or editing.
• Export your TikTok videos without a watermark to repost on YouTube, Instagram, or elsewhere.
• Save your Facebook and Twitter/X videos to your own device or hard drive.
• Recover original-quality files when the platform no longer provides an easy export.

This tool is not designed, marketed, or intended to be used to download other people’s content without their permission.

2. Creator Tool Defense — Your Responsibility

By using GetVideoNow you confirm, represent, and warrant that at least one of the following is true:

• You are the original creator or copyright owner of the content you are downloading, OR
• You have obtained explicit written permission from the rights holder to download and use the content, OR
• Your intended use qualifies as Fair Use under Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act or an equivalent exception in your jurisdiction (e.g., for educational, research, criticism, or commentary purposes), and you accept full personal responsibility for making that determination.

GetVideoNow does not host, store, or cache any media content. We do not upload files to our servers. The Service processes publicly accessible URLs submitted by you and retrieves a link to the file directly from the platform’s own servers. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the content of any file retrieved through the Service.

3. Fair Use & Educational Research

Under Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act (“Fair Use”), certain non-commercial uses of copyrighted material — including commentary, criticism, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research — may be legally protected even without the rights holder’s permission.

GetVideoNow may be used to facilitate such lawful activities. Examples of potentially qualifying uses include:

• Downloading a public video clip to analyze or critique in an academic paper or classroom setting.
• Preserving a news segment or public-interest post for journalistic research or reporting.
• Archiving content for non-commercial media studies or educational commentary.

4. Personal Offline Viewing (Time-Shifting)

GetVideoNow may also be used to enable private, offline viewing for personal use only, consistent with time-shifting principles recognized in U.S. case law (for example, saving a tutorial to watch during a flight without internet access).

5. Permitted Uses

• Backing up your own social media content to a personal device.
• Cross-platform repurposing of content you created and own.
• Recovering original-quality assets you published and cannot otherwise export.
• Editing and reposting your own content on other platforms you control.
• Private, offline viewing for personal use only (time-shifting use case).
• Non-commercial educational, research, criticism, or commentary use that qualifies as Fair Use under applicable law.
• Journalistic or news-reporting use of publicly available content where Fair Use applies.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use GetVideoNow to:

• Download content created by others without their explicit authorization and without a qualifying Fair Use basis.
• Reproduce, redistribute, sell, publish, re-upload, or commercially exploit downloaded files without rights holder authorization.
• Circumvent or violate the terms of service of any third-party platform.
• Engage in copyright infringement or any activity that violates intellectual property law.
• Use automated bots, scripts, or crawlers against the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose under applicable local, state, or federal law.

7. No Warranty

The Service is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. You use the Service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GetVideoNow and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service, including any claims relating to third-party intellectual property rights.

9. Copyright Infringement — User Liability

GetVideoNow does not host any content and is not responsible for copyright infringement committed by users. You are solely and fully liable for any copyright infringement resulting from your use of this Service. If you are unsure whether you have the right to download specific content, do not use this Service to do so.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, or engaged in any unlawful activity.

12. Third-Party Platforms

GetVideoNow interacts with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and TikTok APIs and publicly accessible content. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these platforms. Their respective terms of service govern your use of their platforms independently of this Service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GetVideoNow, its operators, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Texas, USA.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
