GetVideoNow started in 2025 as a side project by a family that was tired of unreliable video downloaders — and decided to build something better.
From a kitchen-table frustration to a growing creator tool
It started the way most family projects do — with a problem nobody else was solving well. Our family runs a small content business across social media, and we kept hitting the same wall: we needed to download our own videos from TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook to repurpose them on other platforms. Every tool we tried was either covered in shady ads, watermarked the output, or just didn’t work half the time.
So we built our own. A clean, fast downloader that actually respects the creator using it. No pop-up minefields. No hidden subscriptions. Just paste your link, get your file.
Friends and fellow creators started asking for access. Then their audiences did. We realized the tool we built for ourselves could help thousands of creators who face the same daily friction — and GetVideoNow was born.
We launched publicly in 2025 with support for four platforms. Today we support 15 across every major social network, from TikTok and Instagram to YouTube, Twitch, and Substack. We’re still small, still family-run, and still building every feature because a real creator needed it — not because a boardroom decided it.

Paid plans (Basic, Pro, Expert) unlock higher limits, more platforms, and features like Google Drive auto-save and parallel downloads. Advertising. Free-tier users see non-intrusive ads served through Google AdSense. Paid subscribers get an ad-free experience. We never sell your personal data to advertisers.
